This week we have all been looking at the Unity game engine. You need to know how games are designed and the basics of game engines. It is also a good idea to gain an understanding of middleware in general, but beyond that is up to you.
With that in mind we will spend another week on Unity and learn how to set up levels and build terrain and then those that are interested can continue with Unity while the rest of the class move on to other things.
In the video this week today’s top video game designers explore the past, present and future of interactive fiction and adventure gaming. Some of storytelling’s biggest names chart virtual narrative and scriptwriting’s evolution from the days of point-and-click adventures to today’s sprawling online, downloadable and massively multiplayer online (MMO) games.
